This event will be held at the charming and romantic Fireplace Mansion in the heart of DC. As those of you who have visited before know, there are numerous balconies and several fireplaces at which to relax with old and new friends. The rooftop deck will be open for chatting while viewing its breathtaking panoramic views of DC! As always, we ask everyone to be prepared to reach out to newcomers and help make this an enjoyable evening for all.
Dinner
DCIC will provide halal food including a main dish, drinks and desserts, but it's our international potluck dishes that make our buffets special. Please consider bringing a main dish or a salad. We ask that you be sensitive to people from the Jewish and Moslem faiths and not bring dishes containing pork, ham or shellfish. We also encourage folks to make or bring some good vegetarian dishes and salads, for those guests who don't eat meat. We will not be serving wine or any other alcoholic drinks at this event, and we ask that out of respect for our Moslem members, guests do not bring their own alcoholic beverages either.
